Where to Get Reclaimed Wood
One supply of wood that readily comes to mind is old barns. These planks can also be salvaged from demolished hotels, residences, or even factories. You might already have some lovely wood on the attic floor or beneath the drywall if you own an older house.
Boards discovered when a roof was removed to make room for a second story serve as another supply. A gold mine can be found when raising an attic to create a second floor, or more accurately, a “wood” mine.
